Black and White is Always Right

Alexander M. Reid (one of my favorite accounts to follow on Instagram @alexandermreid). A native of St. Louis, Alexander began his design career at One Kings Lane where he worked on makeovers for the homes of several celebrities including Jessica Alba, Rebecca Minkoff, Jenni Kayne, Coco Rocha, and Sophia Bush. As a result, his work has been featured by Vogue, Glamour, and Architectural Digest. I initially found out about Alexander after seeing the chic spaces he designed for Marlien Rentmeeseter of Le Catch and was delighted to learn that the recently completed project is currently featured by AD online. His work is beautifully layered and bridges the gap between traditional and modern quite seamlessly, especially in this home with its crisp, neutral palette punctuated by the high contrast of black and white and the tension created by the blending of modern and contemporary pieces.
