LDV Edit: My Fall Wishlist

Being in New York a few days ago and experiencing the cooler temperatures not only provided a respite from the terrible Houston heat, it also served as a reminder that fall is just around the corner. It’s ironic that fall is my favorite season because it is so short in Houston. Luckily, I travel a lot, so while Houston may not have the crisp temperatures and changing leaves that signal fall like many places do, I will still be able to experience it on the trips that I have planned through the end of the year. As such, I’ve been thinking about wardrobe updates that feel fresh for the new season, but can carry me through a variety of climates.

Over time, I have really come to a point where I buy fewer, better things. Rather than buying tons of what some consider disposable fashion, I have been investing in pieces that are well-made and are more apt to stand the test of time. Quality over quantity! As an owner of two businesses, I have to make a lot of decisions every day, so the last thing I want to do in the morning is labor over the decision of what to wear. Investing in classic, timeless pieces is a similar approach to uniform dressing. It guarantees that I can mix and match pieces in my closet knowing that I will look polished without the stress of putting together a major ensemble!

Since I am always on the go, I tend to shop online more than in person to save time. I find that once you are familiar with how a brand’s clothing fits, it is pretty easy to order online without having to worry that things won’t fit they way you would expect them to. One of my favorite places to shop online is Mytheresa, a unique destination for women’s luxury fashion representing over 200 of the world’s most sought-after brands. My favorite thing about Mytheresa is that they have a constant stream of new arrivals, so there is always something fresh and new to see! Better yet, they two day delivery and free returns within 30 days which makes the whole shopping experience super easy and seamless. I’ve culled a mix of pieces that I am currently coveting. You’ll find a mix of updated wardrobe essentials along with a couple of trendier pieces such as a chic headband and asymmetric earrings as well as some of the pieces that are currently at the top of my personal wish list: this chic tweed jacket , my favorite, most flattering FRAME jeans in a leather version, the chicest clutch ever, a belt bag that makes wearing a fanny pack ultra-stylish and would be perfect for travels abroad or long walks with Tate, a versatile, yet statement-making ring, and the cutest polka dot tote.
