In the Mood: October 2018

This month, I am feeling especially inspired by a soft approach– think pale palettes and feminine silhouettes. While my style is always classic, I usually gravitate towards equally neutral, but warmer colors and slightly more masculine style. Perhaps recent trips to Paris and “la vie en rose” have had their effect on me, because I am now wearing my figurative rose-colored glasses and everything I am seeing is slightly, softer, prettier, and more effortless. It is a perfect aesthetic year-round and while one might think of rich, warm colors during the fall months, you can never go wrong with light and pretty.¬†October also happens to be Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so it only seems right to celebrate the color pink and everything it represents, and of course all of the amazing breast cancer survivors, those who are bravely battling the disease, and those whose legacy serves as a reminder that there is still so much research and progress to be made. Let this month and this post serve as a reminder to do what we can to find a cure whether it is through a charitable donation, volunteer work, or lending your support to someone in the the throes of their valiant battle.
