A Note on Style: Wearing Denim Lately

Hi, LDV readers! It’s Karima from A Note on Style sharing my thoughts on denim…everyone’s favorite essential. It certainly is mine. A great pair of jeans is the backbone to building so many great looks…year round. What keeps them fresh and interesting are the subtle adjustments in silhouette, wash and detail each season. Currently, I think some of the best looks are actually quite classic, with a simple straight leg. A loose, cropped slightly flared leg is also a winner. Come fall, I’m looking at Re/Done’s take on Levi s 505 as the directional shape we’ll all want with a longer leg resting on the foot. The common thread for all of these though is a high waist. That one element, regardless of the rest of the jean’s style, is the key to looking modern and current.

  1. I love the classc look also, and find that Levi’s 501 are just the ticket..button up, strait leg, good fit, and price is right!~

  2. I’m really happy to see longer hems. There aren’t many of us who look good in pants that stop above our ankle. They look like hand me downs or like when we were kids and outgrew our pants. Brenda
