In the Mood: August 2018

{The Sag Harbor Home of Mona Nerenberg and Lisa Bynon as featured in ELLE DECOR}

By the time August rolls around in Houston, I am usually over the heat and have begun dreaming about the cooler months ahead! I know it will be a while before the heat subsides here, but I am hoping to get a little break from it when Fabian and I head to New York and then Paris in a couple of weeks. I honestly haven’t had a split second to begin thinking about these trips, what to pack, etc. with all of the exciting things that have been taking shape here at home, but I do know one thing, whether it’s for the home or what to pack, you can never go wrong with a chic black and white color palette. It may sound boring to some, but it is honestly my favorite color combination. It is classic, chic, and timeless. It can go modern or traditional and is the perfect backdrop for just about anything. As I plan for my upcoming trips and we work on some new projects in the office, here is a bit of what has been inspiring me lately. What are you in the mood for this month?

    1. Hi Lindsay,

      Thank you so much for the kind words. The “In the Mood” and “Style Files” posts take the longest to write and put together, but they are my favorite. I am so happy to hear tha you enjoy them!

      Cheers,

      Paloma

  2. I second Lindsay – I love these posts too! I always wonder which pieces you end up buying and how you like them. Have you considered sharing your thoughts, at least on the ones with which you were pleased?

  3. Great mood board. All the modern furnishings are great! Love the french country chest with the white distressed look. SHows that an old piece can fit well in a clean, modern space if done right.
