A Classically Chic Connecticut Cottage

Interior designers, Michael del Perno and Andrew Fry, who also own a chic home goods shop, Plain Goods, in New Preston, Connecticut, fell in love with their charming Connecticut cottage while on a real estate tour with their broker. Upon opening a window and having it crash down on his foot, del Perno realized that the house needed his and Fry’s help in order to be restored to its original “simple elegance”. It was quite an apropos sentiment as del Perno and Fry have come to be known for their simple, elegant style. Think handsome antiques, lots of textures, and palettes dominated by shades of white. The cottage features an eclectic mix of pieces collected by the couple over time, imbuing the home rich layers and personality. The result is an elegant, chic home that exudes warmth, feels appropriate for the architecture and history of the home, and most importantly is a true reflection of the people who inhabit its walls.
