In the Mood: June 2018

Can you believe summer is unofficially here and the first half of the year is already behind us? So far, this year has been filled with a lot of exciting developments on the work front which is wonderful and fulfilling, but also makes me long for a little summer rest and relaxation. Summer, while brutal in Houston with the heat and humidity, has always been one of my favorite seasons. While a day near the water has become a rarity for me, I love the idea of spending a leisurely afternoon by the pool or on the beach soaking up the sun with a good book. Summer to me is green lawns, blue skies, the sound of the water nearby, stripes and straw, popsicles, rosé and of course, a classic color palette of red, white, and blue! What do you love about summer?
