Fabulous Room 10.20.17

Green is one of my favorite colors. With the weather finally turning crisp and cool this week, I’ve especially had warm, saturated shades of green on my mind as they perfect for fall. This airy New York living room by design duo, Jennifer Hunter and Georgie Hambright of J + G Design is both timeless and fresh. In keeping with the style I love most, the upholstery is mostly neutral, in warm whites, with an anchor color, in this case, chic green, peppered throughout from the draperies to the throw pillows on the sofa, the large abstract painting, and green Scalamandr√© tigre velvet on the caned chair. Another special touch is the use of tortoiseshell from the mirror anchoring a vignette with two French chairs upholstered in a beautiful Miles Redd for Schumacher Chinoiserie fabric to the wallpaper lining the built-in bookshelves. This pretty apartment is at once classic and timeless, yet fresh and current.

  1. This was lovely – the greens are classic but so fresh – perfect! I’m a confirmed lover of neutrals, but I value them for their ability to house little surprises, just like you’ve shown here. Thank you for the inspiration.
