Lust List: August 2017

August always feels like a month of transition to me. On the calendar, it signals that summer is coming to a close. However, anyone who lives in the South knows that the heat will stick around well through October. Even still, the September issues of various fashion magazines and upcoming travel to cooler locales have me thinking about updating my fall wardrobe. This month, you’ll see that I’m lusting over a mix of things– structured fall separates that travel well and are polished enough for business meetings and speaking engagements, as well as a few more summery items in feminine silhouettes to deal with the reality of Houston’s almost nonexistent fall season. We are planning a long weekend in Punta Mita, Mexico over Labor Day, so the pretty summer dresses I had packed for Paris and didn’t wear due to the cool, rainy weather will come in handy. Have any of you been to Punta Mita by chance? It’s where the crazy Real Housewives of New York went on their vacation this season. If so, I’d love any recommendations you might have. We rented a private villa and really just want to relax by the pool and on the beach, but can always use good restaurant recommendations.
