  1. Although I enjoy your blog very much, I have not commented until now. THANK YOU for this week’s quote. Beautiful homes only make sense when individuals and families are safe, respected, and celebrated in all their diversity, and communities are caring and connected and just. Wishing you all the best.

  2. PLEASE don’t make your blog political. Design takes me away from this crazy world!! Don’t need any reminders – no matter how well-intentioned.

    1. Don’t worry, Jenny. I certainly won’t and have steered clear of politics on my social platforms in the past, but I couldn’t stand idly by and not make a statement about the horrible division and acts of hate in Virginia. I’ll be back with more design content tomorrow. Thanks for reading!

  3. Art in it’s myriad forms plays a crucial part in great design. Design if done well, makes a profound statement as does art. A bold declaration in either realm is necessary at times, and proper when executed well. Well done Paloma!

  4. A lovely and timely quote. Thank you for the uplifting post. Kindness and beauty are essential to living graciously.

  5. I loved reading the quote this morning. Sometimes our world seems so out of control, but
It is always nice to be reminded there are people who care about others and how
We can all be better advocates for freedom and peace

  6. “Kindness and beauty are essential to living graciously”….I love that!

Thank you for posting a reminder to the really important things in life!

  7. Agree with earlier person. Please don’t make your decorating website political. Since you went there, please also remember that this country is founded on the right to free speech. That swings both ways and when you condemn one side, it will eventually swing the other way and more liberal views will be eliminated too. Everyone gets to decide how they feel. I pray that homes, decorating and family are not about politics!

    1. Hi Beth,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and perspective. I appreciate you taking the time to do so. As I mentioned before, I do not usually take a political stance on my blog and returned with design content today, as promised.

      Cheers,
      Paloma
