The Gray House

I have written about the chic penthouse of stylish Houstonian, Lauren Claridge a few times in the past, most recently when it was featured in the November/December 2015 issue of Veranda. As you may know, Laurann has a fantastic fashion line called Claridge + King along with her sister, Lizbeth King. They make some of my favorite shirts in the world. The fit is impeccable and the styling is timeless. I always get compliments on them.

Laurann has also been Editor-at-Large for PaperCity for many years and is known for her fabulous taste and eye for style, which is on full display in her beautiful home, which I recently learned is currently for sale . Laurann opted for a neutral palette of white and gray which lends itself perfectly to the chic mix of traditional and contemporary furnishings and art. In this home, antiques coexist with classic, mid-century pieces, creating an eclectic, yet tailored look. I especially love the beautiful living room as well as the library/dining room. If you’re in the market for a fabulous penthouse apartment in an ideal location within Houston’s inner loop, be sure to check out the real estate listing. If we hadn’t just moved to a new house, I might considering high-rise living! claridge-living-room-2

    1. I agree completely. I fell in love with the kitchen!…check out the view too. Reminds me of an elegant 60’s flat or upper high rise apartment.
