Designer Wendy Labrum considers herself a true Francophile, so when she and her husband purchased their Chicago-area home, she knew that she would infuse it with her signature, Parisian-influenced style. Her home, featured in the current issue of Luxe, showcases a wonderful juxtaposition of masculine and feminine, traditional and modern, all executed through a soft palette accented by warm gray, lilac, and coral. Each space is undeniably glamorous with touches of gilt and sumptuous textiles. While the home is replete with glamour, it is also practical for Wendy’s young family. Instead of banning her children from certain pieces of furniture, she opted for pieces that can handle some wear and tear. Durable velvet and leather were the fabrics of choice in many of the rooms. I love that Wendy took the approach of creating a beautiful home, but doesn’t see anything as too precious. After all, houses are meant for living and enjoying!

Love everything about this decor!!! So that’s how one describes the style – Parisian luxe meets practical mix. Love it!!!
Very lovely! The palette is so calming.
That veranda looks like such a wonderful place to relax when it isn’t quite nice enough to be full-fledged outdoors.
Except for the strange looking light fixture in the living room, I love it all. Gorgeous!
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. WE ARE DOWNSIZING AND MOVING. WOULD LOVE THIS LOOK IN NEW HOUSE. VIOLET IS ONE OF MY TOP FAVORITE COLORS. THIS SOFT APPLICATION IS DEVINE.
Any clue as to where the table in the 4th to last photo is from?
