Bohemian Chic: Vyshyvanka

{Anna dello Russo}

One of the hottest street style trends in the last year or so has been the rise of Vyshyvanka, traditional Ukrainian embroidered blouses and dresses. The embroidery has influenced major collections including Valentino’s Spring 2015 Couture show and was popularized when street style stars like Leandra Medine, Alexa Chung, Anna hello Russo, and Viviana Volpicella began wearing Ukrainian designer, Vita Kin’s creations during various Fashion Week events. Vita Kin has taken traditional Ukrainian Vyshyvanka designs and paired them with a 1970s inspired bohemian vibe to create a modern iteration of her country’s traditional dress. I love the look and am craving some pretty blouses to wear once the weather warms up and would love one of these fabulous statement dresses as well.
