{Olivia Munn in a Sleek, Tangerine Stella McCartney}

I love Awards Season! It’s so fun seeing what our favorite leading ladies turn up in on the red carpet and to see talented people honored for their work. That being said, I didn’t think the Oscars were all that exciting this year. What did you think of Chris Rock as the host?

Overall, I didn’t think there were many super exciting moments on the red carpet this year, but I loved the chic simplicity of Olivia Munn’s tangerine Stella McCartney dress. I had a few other favorites, which appear below in no particular order. Who had your favorite looks of the evening?

{Margot Robbie– A Golden Moment in Tom Ford}

oscars charlize theron dior

{Charlize Theron– She wears clothes so beautifully with her statuesque figure and classic good looks. I loved her in this red Dior. The plunging neckline works on Charlize’s look, unlike on Olivia Wilde’s white Valentino which read borderline vulgar in my opinion.}

{Jewel Tones were big on this year’s red carpet! Rachel McAdams stunned in this simple emerald gown with a train by August Getty Atelier.}

oscars saoirse ronan calvin klein

{Saoirse Ronan looked fantastic in this emerald Calvin Klein gown. She chose to wear green in honor of her native country of Ireland, which I found sweet and endearing. I watched Brooklyn yesterday morning and loved seeing her look so fresh and young on the red carpet. The blonde, tousled hair and sleek dress look fabulous on her. I wish I had a close-up of her gorgeous earrings!}

{Alicia Vikander is so lovely. I go back and forth on the Louis Vuitton dress she wore to the awards show. I like everything about it, but don’t love the hem and wasn’t a big fan of her hair.}

{For the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, Alicia changed into another Louis Vuitton gown, this time a black, sequined wrap dress. I absolutely love this chic look! Which of Alicia’s two looks do you prefer?}

  1. Saoirse was definitely my favorite, but you and I had similar picks! I agree with you that Alicia Vikander’s after party look was the better of the two!

  2. Naomi Watts was my hands down favorite. She looked stunning from head to toe. Emily Blunt looked adorable. Love her. I also liked Alicia’s after party dress much better. I didn’t care for the yellow dress. Also agree that Charlize rocked that red gown, but I thought her plunge was too low. A bit too much showing in the middle. What did you think about Cate Blanchett’s gown?

  3. Agree on Vikander’s hair. It seems that was a trend, since Bree Larson wore a similar hair style, but it was so severe and didn’t really frame or enhance either look. Vikander’s after party dress was more chic, but less attention grabbing so I understand why she chose color for the red carpet.

  4. My favorite was Naomi Watts. The color was interesting and her hair and make up were on point. The whole look worked, in my opinion.
