Modern Romance

My design assistant, Devon and I returned from a quick day trip to New Orleans last night. We were there checking out the room that I was invited to design for the Southern Style Now Showhouse and were able to pop into a few of my favorite shops on Magazine Street. New Orleans is a treasure trove of antiques– especially French pieces. I personally love mixing antiques with more modern pieces, so when I came across this new project by Vicente Wolf, it really resonated with me.

Vicente is brilliant at mixing antique pieces and modern items, all through a lens that is distinctly fresh, polished, and very Vicente. I never need to look at the credits in a feature spread to know when Vicente has designed a project! In order to update a longtime client’s Manhattan apartment, Vicente had the floors refinished and created a palette of white, grey, and celadon to transform the home into a glamorous, feminine respite. Notice how beautifully antiques are mixed in with modern pieces throughout the house.
