High Voltage Glamour

Todd Romano 1

I have admired the work of interior designer, Todd Alexander Romano for many years now. A fellow Texan, Todd is originally from San Antonio. After working for Ingrao, Inc. and Mario Buatta, Todd struck out on his own in 1999, founding his eponymous design firm in New York. Known for his glossy, eclectic aesthetic, Todd has designed a collection of classic furniture for Schumacher and continues to work on design projects across the country. I recently discovered that Todd is on Instagram and following him has reminded me of how much I adore his New York apartment. Filled with an incredible collection of art and a fabulous mix of furniture ranging from French antiques to Mid-Century Modern pieces, each space is punctuated by a dose of bold color. The foyer gleams in apple green lacquer,¬†the kitchen is swathed in acid yellow silk, while the bedroom is lacquered in dreamy peacock blue. There are too many dreamy details to name and they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so please enjoy a visit to Todd’s ultra-chic, glamorous apartment and be sure to follow him on Instagram @toddaromano!
