Suzanne Kasler is a designer I have admired for many years now. Her work is typically more traditional, but she does many styles so very well, always with her distinct European-inspired flair. Regardless of the inspiration for any specific project she has designed, those of us who love her work can always count on it to be elegant, timeless, and pretty. Defined by her effortless approach to casual elegance, Suzanne’s design sensibility is beautifully displayed in her own home. While her Atlanta residence has been published before, I was thrilled to see new photographs for it on One Kings Lane recently. While the entire home is beautiful, I was especially drawn to her elegant dining room. The room radiates with light, thanks in part to a mirrored molding that runs along the cornice line, as well as metallic paint used on the ceiling. Clever and glamorous– I like it! The walls are dressed in a custom-colored deGournay Chinoiserie wallpaper, while the butler’s pantry, visible from the dining room, is lacquered in a lovely pale blue hue.

  1. I had to look at that second picture for at least 10 seconds to determine whether or not it was a mirror or an actual window. What a neat sort of optical illusion 🙂
