Introducing Stanley Furniture’s Crestaire Collection

Stanley Furniture has been a foremost American manufacturer of fine furnishings for over ninety years. Based in High Point, North Carolina, the company was founded in 1924 by farmer-turned-industrialist, Thomas Stanley. In the decades since the company’s inception, Stanley has continually distinguished itself through the fine craftsmanship, superior quality, and artisan finishes of its wood furniture collections.

Stanley Furniture’s latest collection, Crestaire, is a distinctly modern interpretation of the mid-century style everyone has so eagerly embraced in recent years, thanks to Don Draper et al on Mad Men.  Designed with the independently-spirited in mind, the Crestaire collection updates classic mid-century modern design to work within a contemporary lifestyle. Signature design elements include front curvature on chests and buffets, gold leaf and walnut finishes, Greek key overlay details, pull out shelving, nailhead trim, full-grain leather upholstery, channel tufting, and fancy face veneers.  In addition, etageres, desks, and storage pieces are equipped with convenient features such as cord management, recessed electrical outlets, lateral files storage, and touch lighting– details that make for a stylish and functional space. What could be more modern than that? I had the opportunity to preview the Crestaire collection at Stanley’s flagship showroom in High Point while there for market in October. I came across several stand-out pieces that I can envision using in future client projects. They are each available in multiple finishes, but I have shown them in my personal favorite finish combinations.
