Verdant and Vibrant

While in High Point, I was able to get a sneak peek of the new House Beautiful before it hit newsstands. It’s a great issue filled with inspiration. I especially love the Dallas high-rise apartment designed by Lisa Fine and this beautiful home designed by Ashley Whittaker. Located just outside of New York City, in Westchester County, this home isĀ pretty and fresh. I love Ashley’s work for the way in which she embraces color, pattern, and a neo-traditional sensibility. Ashley’s signature style is on full display in every room of this house. You’ll notice many of the rooms were designed around a verdant palette of green and yellow hues. The house also features many beautiful patterns from the Madeline Weinrib ikat in the living room pictured above to the Gracie chinoiserie panelsĀ in the dining room and Cole and Sons garden maze wallpaper in the powder room. With so many pretty spaces to choose from, it is difficult to pick a favorite, but I especially love the living room (above) and family room (directly below). For the full tour, be sure to read the November issue of House Beautiful.
