A Few Project Peeks

{We recently had our client’s library lacquered in the most beautiful gray-blue color. I love the way it looks paired with the brass light fixtures I selected.}

I often post glimpses of the progress on my Paloma Contreras Design clients’ progress on Instagram, but rarely do it here. If you are a designer or have ever worked with a decorator, then you know that it can take a good while for projects to go from the design phase to fully completed. For me, one of the most rewarding parts of the process is when construction is completed enough for beautiful fixtures, fittings, and finishes to be installed. This is just a handful of what we are currently working on, but is a great representation of some of the things I am loving most recently. I will be sure to share more once everything is installed and completed!

{I have a true passion for beautiful lighting. This Suzanne Kasler Morris fixture looks stunning in our client’s foyer.}

{We recently had this clients’ home photographed. The clients are the sweetest couple who have been such a joy to work with. It makes me so happy to know how much they love their home now that we are finished with the design,}

{A Recent Rug Acquisition}

{I just had a huge, custom built-in made for my home office. The center has a pin board which features a fabric scheme I am currently working on and am inspired by.}

{About a month ago, we partnered with Cosentino/Silestone and Kohler to update our kitchen and master bathroom at home. The timing happened to coincide with having our dear friends from out of town stay with us, so it made for a stressful few weeks! Thankfully, the result is exactly what we wanted and we couldn’t be happier. I will share more about the process and the end result soon.}

{One of my long-time clients will be welcoming her first baby soon, so I am excited to design a sweet, classic nursery for him.}

{This is the laundry room of another long-time client whom I’ve loved working with. She has great taste and just “gets it”. I can’t wait to show you the rest of this house because it is stunning!}

{Finally, a few weeks ago, I updated the huge inspiration board in my office. A few images that are constant sources of inspiration remained, but I basically started over. It makes me happy to see so many beautiful, inspiring images each time I walk in to start a day of work.}

  1. Love your client’s library lacquered in that fabulous gray-blue. Would you be so kind to share the name of the color?

    Many thanks,

  2. All of your current projects look lovely right out of the chute! Please tell us what the maker of that breathtaking fabric is on your inboard with the blue and white vases, birds and butterflies. Gorgeous:)

  3. Thanks for the sneak peeks! Can’t wait to see more! I was wondering about the entry picture….is the trim a darker, creamier color than the walls and if so, what colors are they? Also love the chandelier. I must find a place to use that in my home!
