Thank goodness it is Friday! This has been one of the busiest, most stressful weeks I have had in a very long time. On top of client meetings, project deadlines, presentations, and a photo shoot, we currently have a few renovation projects going on in our house, so my life is feeling a bit chaotic at the moment. They are all good things, but there is just a lot going on at once! I would love to spend the weekend relaxing in this beautiful bedroom by Kirsten Kelli, but alas, I will rest when I’m dead!
This week’s “Fabulous Room” is the master bedroom in the California vacation home of Kirsten Kelli co-founder and designer, Kelli Ford. It originally appeared in Veranda back in 2011, but I love it just as much today. It continues to feel both fresh and classic. I love the neutral palette as well as the beautiful, scalloped and monogrammed bed linens. I can tell that it is a sizable room, but the scale of each piece is ideal for making it feel cozy and welcoming rather than cavernous. The warm, palette is perfect for the beautiful California light that must come streaming in each morning. The mix of textiles is just right– pretty and enough patterns to keep things interesting, yet polished. Kirsten Kelli is a constant source of inspiration for making things beautiful and on such an impressive scale!
Have a wonderful weekend!
