I hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day weekend! There are a lot of exciting design events happening this month, beginning this week. Houston friends, be sure to mark your calendars because I would love for you to join me!
First up, I will be speaking on a panel with fabric designer and author, Ronda Rice Carman, and business and marketing consultant extraordinaire, Kim Kuhteubl on opening day of the Houston Design Center‘s Fall Market this Tuesday, September 8th from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. We’ll be sharing our thoughts on the internet and design and sharing tips for promoting your design business through social media. The panel will be moderated by April Guzik and Lynsey Jones and is presented by Luxe Magazine.
Next up, this Thursday, September 10th through Sunday, September 13th Memorial Antiques & Interiors will be hosting its annual Anything Goes Sale! I have had a booth at MAI for a few months now and recently purged quite a few things from my home specifically for this sale. The Anything Goes event is a fantastic opportunity to get designer fabrics, accessories, and other treasures at unbelievably low prices! I’ll have some great mirrors, fabric, pillows, and accessories that I wouldn’t ordinarily put in my booth, but wouldn’t exactly put in a garage sale either. Think of it as a designer tag sale! More details below…
Last, but not least, I will be co-hosting a trunk show for my dear friend, Mark D. Sikes‘ MDS Stripes collection along with my other dear friend, Betty Newton at her fabulous shop, A Bientot on Friday, September 25th and Saturday, September 26th. We would love for you to stop by, meet Mark, and stock up on stripes!
