Paloma Contreras Design is a small, high-end residential interior design firm in Houston, Texas. We are currently seeking a part-time design/administrative assistant to join our dynamic team. This position will start out as part-time with 15-30 hours per week, but can grow into a full-time position.
The ideal candidate will be enrolled in design school or will have at least one year of experience at an interior design firm. Applicants must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and should have great multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is articulate in both verbal and written communication and possesses style and professionalism in keeping with that of our firm. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and should be a self-starter as we may work remotely from time to time.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, and Studio Webware is a plus.
Day-to-Day Duties will Include, but are not Limited to:
-Assisting Principal with organization and logistics of projects, including tracking client budgets, purchases, and delivery/installation schedules.
-Gathering quotes from vendors and contractors.
-Creation of client proposals, purchase orders, and invoices
-Creation of floor plans and elevations in AutoCAD
-Assisting in the creation of client presentations, including design concept, space planning, architectural elements, color schemes, fabric schemes, custom window treatments and custom furniture pieces
-Assisting in preparing hardware, plumbing and paint schedules
-Assisting in day to day office tasks and errands for Principal
-Assisting with some duties on the La Dolce Vita side: maintaining editorial calendar, fielding inquiries, assisting with research for blog posts
-Assisting Principal with Special Projects
-Salary commensurate with experience
