Fabulous Room Friday 07.10.15

Fabulous Room Friday Nicole Hollis La Dolce Vita

I first noticed this chic living room in San Francisco designed by Nicole Hollis on Pinterest a little while ago because it kept popping up in my feed. Of course, I clicked on it each time I would see it! I love the high contrast palette composed of mainly black and white. The textures in this space are what really makes it for me. In spite of the crisp palette, the space feels warm and interesting thanks to a Beni Ourain rug which grounds the room, sumptuous Christian Liagre seating, a warm, a uniquely-shaped wood coffee table, and seagrass baskets the homeowners found on a trip to Bhutan. The custom fireplace in Nero Marquina black marble is rather striking, isn’t it? The space is beautiful, memorable, and sophisticated.

  2. This is just the kind of room that gets me going! I too, love the juxtaposition between classic black and white and cozy, natural textures. The coffee table accessories also caught my eye–especially the burled wood vase and the gorgeous chess set. I can see why you keep coming back to this one!
