Fabulous Room Friday 04.10.15

Fabulous Room Friday | La Dolce Vita Blog

This week’s fabulous room is a chic, eclectic living room within an aerie in Madrid’s Salamanca neighborhood. Housed inside of a building dating back to 1884, the apartment has beautiful bones. García Germán architects took charge of renovating the apartment, making it more conducive for modern living while honoring the original architecture of the space. I love the crisp white walls and the blond, herringbone floors. The tall French doors leading to a small terrace flood the room with light and frame the space. I really love the eclectic mix of furnishings. I’ve said it many times before, but the Spanish truly are masters of the mix, blending significant antiques with minimal, modern pieces, and flea market finds so seamlessly. The result is completely chic and resonates authenticity.

    1. Hi Marne and Jen,

Unfortunately, I didn’t see those specific sources noted in the original article from Nuevo Estilo and couldn’t find them on the architect’s website either. I love the table and the crisp white paint, so I wish I knew, too!

      Thank you for reading LDV!
