Fabulous Room Friday 10.03.14

HSH Kitchen2

I recently came across this kitchen on Pinterest and loved it right away. Designed by HSH Interiors, it is traditional with a few modern elements like the great stools and the Hicks pendants. I love the gray hue of the cabinets and wish I knew the name of the paint– it looks fantastic with the marble backsplash and brass hardware, doesn’t it? According to this article on Home Adore, the kitchen is housed in a renovated 1930’s church in Mill Valley, California, hence the beautiful vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. The kitchen also features a custom pewter island, Kohler farmhouse sink, and Ann Sacks grey subway tile, and Miele appliances.

Speaking of the Bay Area, we will be heading back to Napa to celebrate my birthday in November, so if you have any new winery or restaurant recommendations, I’d love to hear them!

  1. If you are going to be on the other side of the valley, don’t miss Repris in Glen Ellen…great wines and fantastic tour of the vineyard! (And Kenwood Inn, if you ever stay on the Sonoma side.)

  2. The Terraces and Outpost are two of my favorite Napa wineries. They are small so be sure to call for an appointment. And Ad Hoc is one of my favorite restaurants ever. We were just in Sonoma last weekend, we love it there! Have a wonderful trip, hope you put it on the blog!

  3. You must go to Bistro Jeanty in Yountville! Fabulous food in a beautiful setting. The tomato soup is one of their specialities but everything is good!

  4. Paloma,
The Traditional Home showcase house runs through November 16th. We are so excited to debut our new fabrics created by San Francisco Designer Jonathan Rachman. They are featured in the Cheese Barn / Tasting Room and powder bath. We would love to send you complimentary tickets to attend the tour.
If it does not mesh with your travel plans, we would love to send you samples of the new collection.
Napa is a fantastic place to celebrate your birthday!
