Fabulous Room Friday 09.19.14

This week’s fabulous room is a chic living room belonging to Madrid-based interior designer, Olga Lopez de Vera. I love the striking contrast of the color palette as well as the mix of styles within the space. A pair of Louis XVI-style armchairs upholstered in sumptuous mohair velvet is perfectly at home with ultra-sleek cocktail tables and clean-lined sofas. The neoclassical console in the background, sculpture in the foreground, and black and white diptych by Guillen Nadal add layers of personality, style, and interest to this beautiful room. It’s obviously a large room, but the floor plan with two distinct seating areas makes it feel warm and inviting.

What are your thoughts on this room? Do you have a favorite element? Do you like the color palette of rich neutrals? Have a wonderful weekend!
