Jet Set: The Delano Hotel

30-delano-006-2Hello LDV readers! Brendan here of B.A.D | Blog About Design. For today’s Jet Set post, I’ve decided to take us to the Delano Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida–one last beach getaway before the fall! The Delano is a perfect balance of Art Deco and modern design. The hotel is a great mix of Eames, Gaudi, as well as Philip Stark who renovated the hotel in 1994. What do you think of the Delano? Have you stayed here before?
delano-hotel-lobby(ABOVE) I love the lobby of the Delano hotel. The lobby features many windows and is very open and bright. The space is impactful with the high ceilings and columns, but is made more cozy with the floor to ceiling curtains.

IMG_7434(ABOVE) The garden area is the perfect place to meet with friends or host a party. I love the boxwood plantings and trees. The space feels chic, yet relaxed.

delano-hotel(ABOVE) How gorgeous is the pool area? I love the metal chair in the pool and lounge chairs around the pool. This outdoor space feels very fresh and relaxing. This makes the list as one of the nicest pool areas of seen.

Delano-outdoor-seating(ABOVE) Off the pool area is this incredible cabana and sitting space. The hotel is located right on the beach, so hearing the waves while you lay in your cabana will not be a problem!

delano-hotel-resto(ABOVE) The Bianca restaurant is such a great place to enjoy a burger, some fresh salad, calamari or Filet Mignon. You can either sit outside on this super chic patio or indoors.
