Fabulous Room Friday 09.05.14

Happy Friday! Does anyone else find that short weeks always end up being the craziest? I am so ready for the weekend, but I don’t think I’ll have much downtime as I am putting the finishing touches on my house for a huge photoshoot next week! I am super thankful for all of the wonderful things that have been happening lately, but I have to admit, I am exhausted. This week was full of highs and lows, but I it’s all part of the journey.

While I will spend the weekend working, I wish I could spend it in this crazy chic library by David Netto. It looks like the perfect room to curl up with a book or one’s iPad and shut out the rest of the world for a few hours. I am in love with the peacock blue lacquered walls. It’s such a gorgeous color and adds so much depth to the room. I love that a traditionally formal room was treated with a sort of eclectic chic casualness. The sofa appears supremely comfortable and looks so fun in that tribal fabric. I’m usually not one for printed fabrics on sofas, but I really like this. The wood and saddle leather chairs add structure and a nice contrast. What is your favorite element in the room?

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I LOVE the blue walls, but I have to admit — the couch feels stodgy to me! I bet the pattern is better in person.

I know this is off topic nevertheless I simply needed to
