A Giveaway from Studio Eriksdotter

"I hope to inspire, make people happy with my art and strive to make the viewer aware of and believe in the vibrancy of life. It’s all about celebrating life with color and
hopefully bring joy to the room and the viewer."

Swedish-born artist, Erica Eriksdotter fell in love with art and painting at an early age. Inspired by her grandfather, she sold her first paintings at age ten. Painting has been a passion for Erika throughout her entire life, though it has come to have a different meaning for her as she has grown older. Painting “is letting go of the fear and allowing myself to trust my hands and my talent. Each painting is more than just paint on a canvas, it is a story and each layer forms that story for the viewer to enjoy.” Erica’s paintings are available through her Etsy shop. Erica would like to share her talents with readers of La Dolce Vita and is offering the winner of this giveaway their choice of one of three acrylic original paintings.

  3. Hello,

My absolute favorite of the 3 is the Large Fringed Tulip.

I love the slight opening of the flower; the brightness of the painting pulls you in to give you a sense of calmness, with a splash of excitement that something beautiful will emerge.

From afar it’s a flower, but yet, also reminds me of the strength of a woman. To me, the texture of the painting looks soft like skin, and the curve of the petals is like that of a woman’s waist. The tethered petals, are like reminders that not everyone is perfect, and has its flaws, and the opening is that of a new beginning.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I found this blog yesterday, and got stuck on it the whole day! I’ve become your newest fan! Thanks for sharing your ideas, quotes and interests! Have a fabulous day!

  4. i love the vivid colors of her acrylic paintings & flowers as the subject. i’m a big gardener so these are especially beautiful to me!

  5. The Salmon Flower is just wonderful though it was very hard to choose. I will be ordering this stationery very soon. Beautiful.

  6. Wonderful paintings! The colors are so fabulous! I would love any of them. Erica is very talented and very generous – what a great giveaway

  7. I love the Petals in gray sky. Erica is really talented w/ the flawless fluidity of her lines. They create a wonderful feeling and the large flowers are reminiscent of a Georgia O’Keefe, but truly her own original style!

  8. I really like the Sunny Daisy – love the perspective! She is very talented and I enjoyed looking at all her art work! Thanks for sharing!

  9. What an amazing artist! My favorite is “Petals on Gray Sky”. The contrast is what I find appealing about it, yet the warm yellow petals make me feel good when I look at it.

The artist has a great ability of making the viewer FEEL HAPPY through colors and sensual petal shapes!

Whether I win or not. I appreciate being able to see it and admire it.

    Thanks for sharing.
