Instant Inspiration: Alexander M. Reid

It’s been a while since my last “Instant Inspiration” post, but over the weekend, I came across an Instagram profile that I found very inspiring. Alexander M. Reid (@alexandermreid). A native of St. Louis, Alexander began his design career at One Kings Lane where he worked on makeovers for the homes of several celebrities including Jessica Alba, Rebecca Minkoff, Jenni Kayne, Coco Rocha, and Sophia Bush. As a result, his work has been featured by Vogue, Glamour, and My Domaine. I found out about Alexander after seeing the chic spaces he designed for Marlien Rentmeeseter of Le Catch (pictured directly below). His work is beautifully layered and bridges the gap between traditional and modern quite seamlessly. You can see more of his work on his Instagram as well as on his website. Whose Instagram account are you currently enjoying?

{Alice Naylor-Leyland}

I love scrolling through my feed on Instagram. As a very visual person, it’s a wonderful way to find inspiration and to connect with others. As such, it has become my favorite form of social media. Every now and then, I come across an account that I end up loving. In the case of Alice Naylor-Leyland (@aliceinherpalace), a contributor to and of-the-moment tastemaker and “It” girl in the UK, her Instagram feed is a favorite because it gives her followers a peek into a beautiful, very charmed life in the English countryside. Her mother, Serena Fresson is an interior designer who often helps set beautiful tablescapes for Alice who has a gift for entertaining. Alice chronicles jaunts to the family estate in the Welsh countryside, trips into London, vacations in Italy, and visits to California as well as time with her darling children, Billy and Nancy on her beautifully-curated Instagram account. INSTAnt Inspiration: Nam Dang Mitchell

{The Beautiful and Stylish, Nam Dang Mitchell}

I have been a big fan of Canadian interior designer, Nam Dang Mitchell’s chic style for several years now. The other day, I fell down the Instagram rabbit hole as a I came across Nam’s profile and fell in love with nearly every image. Her astute eye certainly translates from her design work to the beautiful photos she captures. Nam’s aesthetic is polished, tailored, and glamorous. She uses mostly neutral, subtle color palettes and mixes furnishings, accessories, and fabrics from various aesthetics and eras beautifully, all of which is chronicled on her fabulous Instagram profile.
