Get the Look: Masculine Glamour

gideon mendelson

{Gideon Mendelson}

If you’ve read La Dolce Vita for a while now, then chances are, you’ve probably seen me refer to my personal style as slightly more masculine than feminine. While I can appreciate good design of all types, I’m not a fan of anything chintzy, frilly, or over-the-top feminine in my own life. Like with anything else, I prefer a sense of balance mixing vintage and modern, traditional silhouettes with more streamlined ones, and yes, tempering feminine style with a bit of masculinity. Don’t get me wrong, though– I am addicted to glamour and always find a way to add a touch of it. I suppose that is part of the fun, incorporating elements one might not expect! I have rounded up a group of rooms that serve as inspiring examples of masculine glamour and have also included some pieces for achieving a similar look with West Elm’s new collection. We can’t leave “high and low” out of the essential mix!
