In the Mood: June 2017

Can you believe summer is unofficially here and the first half of the year is already behind us? So far, this year has been filled with a lot of exciting developments on the work front which is wonderful and fulfilling, but also makes me long for a little summer rest and relaxation. Summer, while brutal in Houston with the heat and humidity, has always been one of my favorite seasons. While a day near the water has become a rarity for me, I love the idea of spending a leisurely afternoon by the pool or on the beach soaking up the sun with a good book. Summer to me is green lawns, blue skies, the sound of the water nearby, stripes and straw, popsicles, watermelon, and of course, rosé! What do you love about summer?

  1. Hi Paloma your blog post today is really inspiring. I really love to follow you. Today I am like you say dressed in blue, stripes and appreciating the good weather. Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Beautiful post and collection of images. I’m ready for the sun to come out in so cal. We’re blanketed in fog, known as June Gloom, for most of the month so it doesn’t feel like summer until July. By the way, the first photo is of Catie Marron’s garden in the Hamptons designed by the talented Miranda Brooks. I saved it years ago and it’s an all time favorite!
