After yesterday’s “Palate Cleanser” post and the fact that life has been a little hectic lately, all I want is to simplify, edit, and get back to basics. What could be more basic– or chic and timeless— than a palette of black and white? It may seem boring to some, but black and white is my favorite color combinations. It is elegant, effortless, and enduring. Striking and editorial, it can stand on its own or work as the perfect foundation for just about anything else. All of my branding, both for La Dolce Vita and Paloma Contreras Design is deliberately in black and white because it feels very much like “me”. While undoubtedly classic, it is also fresh and current. This season, there are so many fabulous black and white pieces– both for your wardrobe and home– that are anything but boring! As I like to say on Instagram, #blackandwhiteisalwaysright!
