In the Mood: May 2016

May 16 Mood Aerin Hamptons

This month is going to be a busy one! We are starting a few new projects and are in the midst of installing our room for the Southern Style Now show house and festival, which is just around the corner. I will be in New Orleans for a good stretch, but before I go there, I will be heading to The Hamptons for a client meeting and site visit for a new design project. When I think of the Hamptons, I am reminded of classic American style. It is where the effortless meets the chic and traditional style is executed in a more relaxed manner. I think of long summer days spent by the pool, lemonade and lobster rolls, classic architecture, easy silhouettes, and of course, plenty of red, white, and blue!

  1. That first picture with the boxwood topiaries kills me–I had a whole row of them that just died from a bug (it killed the boxwoods at the chateau next door, too–big problem in southern France). Waiting for the “ice saints” to pass before replacing them. This picture makes me more determined than ever to stick to the plan and not switch to something different.
I also love that bandanna look.
