Sometimes, people worry about an all white kitchen looking sterile, and I have even caught myself wondering the same, but this week’s Fabulous Room illustrates exactly why the reality is exactly the opposite. When the cabinetry is traditional in style and you pair white paint with a tiny hint of warmth, marble countertops, and a white backsplash with warmer elements, the look is effortless and timeless. Bring in a bit of wood, like J.K. Kling did with the bamboo barstools in this stunning kitchen; work in warmer metal tones in the lighting such as antiqued brass or bronze as show here; always opt for polished nickel plumbing fixtures and cabinet hardware rather than chrome and you’ll have a beautiful, inviting kitchen that will never go out of style. I really love the accessories chosen in this particular kitchen and the millwork is perfection. My favorite feature is the mirrored backsplash behind the stove. Not only does it look fabulous, it makes the kitchen appear larger, and reflects the beautiful wall in the garden covered in crawling vines pictured below. I could picture myself being very happy in this kitchen, especially with such a lovely view as summer comes to a close. Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Love the bar-stools and touches of color and greenery in this kitchen, plus the terrace is beautiful with the trellis! Have a great weekend Paloma!

  2. Gorgeous! Exactly what we did in our all white kitchen renovation. Adding touches of wood in our bar stools, table, & some other accessories (large wooden bowl & fruit tray) gives us just the right amount of warmth in the room. Add in some colorful fresh flowers & they pop beautifully in the space.

  3. I love this kitchen, do you know what color the kitchen is painted?
I look forward to your blog, thank you for the inspiration, love it.
