Greece is the Word

For the past several weeks, my Instagram feed has been flooded with images of people on vacation in Greece. It’s a beautiful place and I suppose it makes sense to go while the Euro is weak, but I seemed to miss the memo on this vacation en masse. The other day while perusing the design section of the Wall Street Journal online, I came upon a story about design magnate, Jasper Conran’s vacation home in Greece. It seems the heir to Conran empire had long sought a vacation home in Capri, Ibiza, or Majorca, only to realize that Greece was the most sensible option. It’s a very British way to think, no?

The stunning property is located in the village of Lindos and is composed of two large dwellings– one from the 16th century and the other from the 18th century, which were joined together in the 1960s. The story itself is fascinating, so I will leave you with a taste of this Greek paradise and would urge you to read the full account of this charming place. Before you go, I’d like to know one thing. If you could have a vacation home anywhere in the world, where would it be?

  2. Capri. It’s a magical place – it’s got the glamour and the chic but is also charming and small and everything is run by locals. I never tire of it
