This week, I am loving this pretty, simple dining room by Mona Ross Berman which was recently featured on Lonny‘s website. The star of the show is the beautiful, hand-painted Gracie wallpaper, which adds just the right amount of color and interest in an otherwise pared back room. I really love that Berman opted not to use a rug or window coverings. I have actually done the same for a client whose dining room featured dramatic wallpaper and lighting. The addition of those elements would make the room feel much heavier visually. There is brilliance in simplicity, wouldn’t you agree? The simple Murano glass chandelier and classic square back Louis XVI chairs are perfectly suited to the space. I especially love the hint of green gingham on the backs of the chairs. What is your favorite element in this space?
