Fabulous Room Friday 05.01.15

Robert Brown Atlanta Homes Lifestyles

This week’s “Fabulous Room” is an inviting living room designed by Robert Brown as featured in the May issue of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. My husband’s birthday is tomorrow (Happy Birthday, Fabian! XO), so I’ve had gift options and classic, masculine style on my mind recently. Naturally, this stylish space struck my fancy. The home was designed in collaboration with the architecture firm, Spitzmiller & Norris and interior designer, Robert Brown who uses the house as a personal retreat on Georgia’s Lake Hartwell. This is exactly the type of space where I imagine spending leisurely weekend afternoons and evenings, either enjoying a glass of wine and spirited conversation with friends, or simply reading a great book. I love the pair of charcoal, skirted sofas which define the room. The silhouette is feminine, but the fabric choice makes them ideal for this chic and masculine respite. I love the mix of furniture and accessories selected by Brown. A round, antique dining table in the corner, an antique commode, casual wicker armchairs, chrome and deer hide x-benches, and a great selection of art make for a room that is beautifully layered and filled with personality.

What is your favorite thing about this room (be sure to click on the photo for a full size view)? Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Love the juxtaposition of cool gray sofas and chrome furn legs against the wicker and animal hide. Not always a fan of animal hides but this whole room really comes together nicely.
