Legends of La Cienega 2015

I am thrilled to share that I will be an ambassador for the seventh annual Legends of La Cienega event in Los Angeles May 6th-8th. I was an ambassador last year, and Legends has officially become my favorite design event of the year!

If you’ve spent time in L.A., chances are you’ve been to the amazing La Cienega Design Quarter spanning La Cienega Boulevard and Melrose Avenue and know that it offers some of the best design resources in the country. For over 60 years, La Cienega has been the go-to design destination for scions of design like Tony Duquette, Elsie de Wolf, William Haines, and Frances Elkins. Today, it continues to be a must for discerning designers and design lovers from all over the world and it always tops my list of places to visit anytime I am in Los Angeles. In my opinion, L.A. has the most vibrant and exciting design community in the country, so I couldn’t be happier to participate in Legends of La Cienega again this year!

The Legends of La Cienega event spans two and a half days, counting the opening gala, and is filled with a flurry of activity from keynote panels, presentations, power lunches, book signings, cocktail parties, and amazing networking opportunities.  Top designers, editors, tastemakers, and the who’s who of design flock to L.A. for Legends every year and last year, they did so in record numbers making it the most successful Legends event thus far. I was blown away by how well attended everything was. There was a buzz and energy unlike anything I have experienced at other design events. I have no doubt that this year will break attendance records as well!

Each year, the Legends event has a central theme and top interior designers are selected to decorate the windows of the shops that dot La Cienega and Melrose. This year’s theme is “Where Muses Dwell” and the window designers include Betsy Burnham, Cliff Fong, Commune Design, Ken Fulk, Nathan Turner, Philip Gorrivan, and Windsor Smith among a long list of design talent. This year’s panelists include Veranda Editor in Chief, Clinton Smith, Markham Roberts, Madeline Stuart, ELLE DECOR Editor in Chief, Michael Boodro, Joe Lucas, Molly Luetkemeyer, Timothy Corrigan, Luxe Editor in Chief, Pamela Jaccarino, Kathryn Ireland, and actress, Jessica Alba along with countless other inspiring designers, editors, and tastemakers.
