Best Dressed: 2015 Golden Globes

GG Emily Blunt

I love Awards Season! It’s so fun seeing what our favorite leading ladies turn up in on the red carpet and to see talented people honored for their work. After watching the Golden Globes last night, two things are for sure– Tiny Fey and Amy Poehler are as funny as ever and there are a lot of movies I need to add to my “must watch” list!

Overall, I was pleased that so many women walked the red carpet looking so lovely. In the past, there have been awards shows in which I struggled to find any looks I actually liked, but thankfully, this was not the case at the 2015 Golden Globes! In no particular order, I’ve gathered my favorite looks of the evening.

GG Naomi Watts

 {Yellow was a popular color last night! I absolutely love Naomi Watts in this sleek Gucci gown and diamond snake choker– so chic!}

GG Dakota Johnson

 {I’m not usually a big fan of sequins and a ton of sparkle, but Dakota Johnson’s silver Chanel Haute Couture gown was so beautiful with her pale skin, dark hair, and blue eyes. I also liked that she wore her hair down and kept the accessories sleek and simple.}

GG Sienna Miller

{Sienna Miller’s Miu Miu look is one of my favorites. The gown fits her perfectly, (unlike Rosmanund Pike’s Vera wang gown!), the pale color and gorgeous embroidery are super feminine, while her hair gives the look a little edge. She looks effortless and ethereal.}

GG Reese Witherspoon

 {Reese Witherspoon’s overall look, including her Calvin Klein gown was very pretty.}

GG Leslie Mann Kaufmanfranco

{I’m really loving the vibrant yellow gowns worn last night. Leslie Mann looked fantastic in this chic Kaufman Franco gown. The side part and statement earrings lend the look a cool vibe.}

GG Emma Stone

 {I’m guessing Emma Stone’s Lanvin ensemble might get mixed reviews since she wore pants, but I really like it. It is pretty, fresh, and hip, just like Emma!}

julianne moore

{Does Julianne Moore age?! She just gets more and more beautiful. This Givenchy Couture gown has a lot going on, but she pulls it off beautifully. The silver and blue gown is perfect with her coloring.}

GG Taylor Schilling

{Taylor Schilling of Orange is the New Black had us seeing red on the red carpet! Quite the opposite of Julianne Moore’s gown, this Ralph Lauren gown is sleek, chic, with an interesting neckline, and in a gorgeous, classic color. Perhaps red is the new black?}

GG Claire Danes

 {I think people’s opinions will be split on this one, but I love the bohemian vibe of Claire Danes’s stunning Valentino gown. The deep cobalt blue is so pretty with the pale pink in embroidery.}

GG Behati Prinsloo Kaufmanfranco

{I really like Behati Prinsloo’s sleek, sexy Kaufman Franco gown– on her. It feels very fresh and of the moment and who better than a model to pull off what could be an unforgiving silhouette? Her arm candy, husband Adam Levine is pretty easy on the eyes as well!}

Who were your hits and misses of the evening? Who would you say was Best Dressed?

  1. Paloma, I actually loved Amal’s ensemble, very glamorous and chic. Juliann is fabulous as ever and I love the yellow sheaths, a nice change of color.

  2. These are all my favorites of the night too. I am a little obsessed with Emily Blunt’s earrings. So fabulous. Wasn’t Princes’ appearance a hoot? Everyone was so surprised!

    ciao
