Style Profile: Charlotte Barnes

While catching up on some of my blog reading over the weekend, I came across a post that Stacey of Quintessence recently wrote about Connecticut designer, Charlotte Barnes‘ shop. I loved the merchandising as well as the individual pieces, which prompted me to take a look into Charlotte’s portfolio. I was instantly drawn to her classic, East Coast sensibility. Not to mention the fact that I can definitely appreciate her use of clean, neutral color palettes accented by vibrant art and a variety of interesting textures. The rooms she designs are at once chic and inviting.

Charlotte Barnes began her career in fashion, working in the womenswear division at Ralph Lauren in New York, and eventually as President and CEO of the Italian jewelry company, Pomellato, all the while sharing her talent for creating beautiful vignettes and crafting memorable spaces with some lucky friends. Eventually, Charlotte made the decision to focus on her interior design business full time and has since expanded her brand to include a line of chic furniture. Be sure to check out Stacey’s post as well for a look at Charlotte’s stylish store.
