Fabulous Room Friday 11.28.14

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are recovering from your food comas. I think pie put me over the edge yesterday, but I am feeling better this morning. Bring on the pilates! Because Thanksgiving is all about family and friends and ushering in the holiday season, I couldn’t think of a better room for today’s post than the chic and family-friendly kitchen of fashion illustrator and Instagram sensation, Donald Robertson. He has been a well-known artist and has had great success in the fashion industry for a very long time, but it seems his brilliant use of Instagram @dondalddrawbertson has earned him a cult following and has lead to some very cool collaborations and projects.

Every now and then, I’ll get glimpses of his home when Donald posts photos of his work or his adorable children, which of course, lead me on the hunt for more images of the house. I lucked out when I stumbled on a feature from earlier this year from SCENE Magazine. Designed by Donald’s fashion editor-turned-interior designer wife, Kim Gieske, the house is a chic and modern take on traditional style. I particularly love their classic kitchen with its stunning millwork and the modern mix courtesy of the industrial pendant lighting, super-chic Parsons dining table, and bamboo chairs.

 {This was one of the Instagram photos that lead me down the rabbit hole to search for more photos of the Robertson home. How cute are these two little pudding pops?}

Have a great weekend!
